Bugatti Veyron out on the road
Everything seems slow when you are driving the fastest street legal car ever made!
The Bugatti Veyron Super Sport version has a world-record top speed of 267.7 mph or 430.9 km/h. Available in the original and the roadster designs, the car’s engine produces roughly 3000 HP but only 1000 HP is available as the output. During one of the initial testings, the car was spotted with a 6 foot long streak of flame through the exhaust pipe. Design engineers had to develop a special cooling system for the engine and also a new exhaust system to curb the flame tail line.
The dying Bugatti automobile was purchased by the Germany-based Volkswagen group in 1998 and it officially started the production on the model in 2001. Before this, the company designed and presented the car with a new 3-Bank W18 engine at several motor shows.
Launched in 2005, the car was officially put out of production in late 2014.
